JKVOLT announces a comprehensive firmware and hardware upgrade across its popular BMS product lines. The latest V23.5 and V22 versions introduce significant improvements in safety, communication, and installation compatibility, with mass production scheduled from September through October 2026.

This update covers 10 key BMS models across the BD Series, PB Series, and B1A/B2A Series, all available now or entering production at jkvolt.com.

What's New in the V23.5 & V22 Upgrades?

The latest generation delivers three major improvements across most models:

  • Pre-charge Function – Limits inrush current when connecting to inverters or loads, preventing capacitor surges and protecting both the BMS and connected equipment.

  • Enhanced Short Circuit Protection – Faster response times and more sensitive detection to safeguard battery cells under fault conditions.

  • Dual RS485 Support – The "-R" function now supports 2 channels of RS485 interface, covering 24V and 12V energy storage applications.

Selected models also gain direct parallel connection for LiFePO4 batteries (parallel control interface removed), smaller physical dimensions, and new ABS plastic shells with higher insulation withstand voltage.

JK-BD6A24S-4PD — V23.5

Pre-charge function and more sensitive short circuit protection added. Dimensions and mounting holes unchanged — a drop-in upgrade for existing installations. Mass production: late September.

JK-BD4A24S-4P — V23.5

Added pre-charge function, more sensitive short circuit protection, ACC removed, smaller size, and mounting holes changed. Over 4,000 units currently in stock. Mass production: late September.

JK-BD6A24S-8PD — V23.2

Pre-charge and enhanced short circuit protection. Dimensions and mounting holes unchanged. Already in mass production.

JK-BD6A24S-15PD — V23.5

After V20.3 (2x M6) and V23.3 (1x M8, discontinued), the V23.5 returns to 2x M6 terminals, adds pre-charge, and reduces size. V20.3 and V23.3 are discontinued. V23.5 mass production: August 20 batch.

JK-BD6A24S-6P — V23.5

Shares the 24S-4P V23.5 circuit board. Adds pre-charge and enhanced short circuit protection. Smaller size affects installation. Mass production: late September.

PB1A16S-10/15/20P — V24.1

Appearance change only (top cover bent design). Does not affect usage or assembly. 20P model mass production: late September; other models pending.

JK-B1A8S-10P — V22.0

Smaller size, mounting holes changed. Dual RS485 supports 24V/12V energy storage. Direct parallel connection for LiFePO4 (parallel control interface canceled). Specific variants (10PH, 10PR, 10PCR, 10PS, 10PHS) begin with the 8.20 batch. Mass production: October.

JK-B1A8S-20P — V22.2

Smaller size, mounting holes changed. Dual RS485 and direct parallel connection. Limited stock of previous version available now. Mass production: October.

JK-B2A8S-30P — V22.0

Smaller size, mounting holes changed. Dual RS485 and direct parallel connection. Mass production: October.

JK-B2A24S — V22.3
